CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

Gunner, Whiskey, and Ace pulled into the compound for the Despicable Sons, their kuttes removed and placed in their saddlebags as a sign of respect. The president for the DS club walked out to greet the three men. He looked to be in his mid-fifties, tall with a bit of a portly belly. His silver hair was cut short to his head, his long white beard resting on his chest. His fat fingers were layered in tattoos and big silver rings.

Gunner smiled up at the man. This was an old school biker, someone who was most likely raised in the old ways of how clubs were run but looked as though he was trying to attract younger members now as well, with a different mindset. He walked toward the man; his hand extended.

“Whitey?” asked Gunner.

“What gave it away?” said the older man pointing to his head. “Had this damned white hair since I was twenty-seven. I’m Whitey, nice to meet you boys. Ghost called down and said we might be able to help with something. Always happy to help the Patriots out…I’m a fan of what ya’ll are doin’.”

“We thank you,” said Gunner. “I’m Gunner, this is Whiskey and Ace.”

“Come on inside,” said the older man eyeing them up and down. “What the hell is Ghost feeding you guys up there? I have some big boys in my club but you three look like you eat, sleep and drink your way through a gym.”

“I’m actually part owner of our club gym,” smiled Gunner. “Whiskey is just a bad-ass and Ace is just a naturally ripped fucker.” Ace gave a slight grin and shook his head.

“Well, he said you were looking for Gavin Baker’s brother. What’s the piece of shit done this time?” he asked.

“Don’t know that he’s done anything yet other than jumped parole, but we think he might. He befriended a guy while locked up…a real asshole. This other guy, Evan Black, he raped and beat his stepsister repeatedly.”

“His sister?” yelled Whitey.

“Yea man, she’s the woman of one of our own and now we’re afraid he’s trying to get to her through Baker. We just wanna know where he is so we can have a conversation.” Whitey nodded and then called to the man behind him.

“Find Shred and tell him I need to see him,” he said in a gravelly voice. “You boys want a drink? A girl?” Whiskey laughed.

“I’ll take a beer man but got a wife at home carrying our first baby. I won’t mess that shit up.”

“Same,” said Gunner. “A wife and a little girl at home.” Whitey looked at Ace.

“What about you? You’re awful quiet.” He looked Ace up and down and to Ace’s credit, he didn’t move.

“No thanks…not much of a talker and don’t really like people.” Whitey laughed and nodded.

“Not much of a people person myself anymore,” he grinned. “Club used to be different when my father was president. We had girls wall-to-wall giving away head and pussy all day long. Now
